Perfect sized bag for short backcountry trips

Packs very well with internal storage and plenty of pockets on the side and hip belt! The back panel also hangs comfortably with adequate spacing from the back and gives room to breath.

Great backpack for hike/ travelling

Solid material, water repellant for light rain. Size is perfect for carry-on luggage (depends on the airline company). Love the front opening (like a suitcase) and the adjustable straps. Just enough compartiments for my needs but could have a few more!

Perfect for our TMB hike

Bought this for my husband. It’s perfect as it has a suitcase style opening so he can grab gear from the bottom as well there is a traditional top opening for items packed at the top. A very good packl

Gregory makes some very good packs, and this is one of them. The quality is there and it has a comfortable fit. While there are different sizes, the pack does adjust for those who are not exactly a Medium or exactly a Large. ell phone. It is extremely frustrating to have to use two hands to open a hip pocket. While the front pocket does stretch, it is not all stretch material so it does not expand as much as other brands but it is still very useful providing easy access to jackets or other clothing. While it doesn't have the air space between you back and the pack as some of the Deuter packs or Gregory's Optic 48, there is an air space that does help with ventilation. However the positive thing about less of a space between you back and the pack, is that it moves better with you body since the load is closer to you. It may not be as good as a true winter pack that hugs your body, but you could ski with this pack without it throwing your balance off too much. It might not have two large storage areas as some packs this size (upper and lower), however with the "U" zipper on the front combined with stuff sacks you can get to items on the bottom without taking everything out through the top. A very nice feature.
Is it the perfect pack, if there is such a thing? No. Gregory has a quick way to secure your sunglasses on the shoulder strap which is one of my favourite features, so why didn't they put it on this pack? And why is there no rain cover? In the mountains you should be ready for rain even on those cloudless morning. Most of the major brands make very good packs with lots of great features, many of which are common to all brands, you just have to decide which features are most important to you. Love it

I needed an in-between size for winter and so far, this one has been great. Could fit all my layers and it doesn't feel as heavy as another bag I have. Only criticism would be it lacks straps for my GPS and bear spray. Still found somewhere to hang them but doesn't sit as nice as my Osprey for that.

Gregory Zulu 45l

Nice colour. I bought one of these packs a year ago for a Camino and liked it so much that I bought this one for my son. Comfortable and light and thoughtful design.
