Best Boots Hanwag Tatra ll Bunion Lady GTX

Most comfortable hiking boots

I sort of bought these in desperation after I got rid of another pair of hiking boots that bothered my feet. The name (Tatar II Bunion) appealed to me because, even though I have small bunions, my feet are wide in the toe. eel. I tried 2 different pair, my regular size and 1/2 size up, and decided on the bigger pair. I wear orthotics and fairly thick wool socks so going up 1/2 size worked better. They are very comfortable and well padded in the ankles (always an issue for me with other boots). They are fairly stiff so I felt like they need to be broken in a bit. After wearing them around the house, I’ve worked up to 5-7 km hikes and I am ready for longer distances.
The one drawback to these boots will the price. I was lucky to get them on sale before christmas and I expect to get years of comfortable wear out of them so I am satisfied that they are worth the money. Lire moins

Wide Toe Box

Sturdy sole and shoe material. Good waterproofing, ankle support and a wide toe box for bunions! Good over rough terrain. Decent insulation for cooler weather.

A very nice shoe but

A very nice shoe but too small for me.I had to send them back. They were still narrow in the bunion area. I order online and I never had a shoe from this brand. Would have loved to try a bigger size or a different model.

Great boots, as expected

My last pair was the same brand, but it was time for a new pair. These have been updated and they did just fine on a 3 hour hike first time out. No breaking in necessary!

Boots for life

These boots are really well made and fit exactly as I had hoped! I think that I'll be hiking in these boots (or this brand and model if these wear out after perhaps a decade of hiking and backpacking) for the rest of my life.

Bunion Relief!

I am typically a size 8.5 in regular shoes and I ordered these in a size 9. They felt great but my toes touched when I tested them on a down slope I set up in my house so I knew I needed to size up. Bunion Relief At Last!

Loved everything about it - with the exception of the laces so they lost a star. Laces are very thin and do not stay tied even double knotted - so swap them out.
