Cozy with an awkward fit

I have owned another Nobis jacket, similar to the Meredith from 8 years ago. I was expecting this jacket to be the same quality or better, but it’s a little less technical compare to the old jacket. When the jacket is fully zipped up, there is no guard for the zipper, so it’s quite uncomfortable for the chin. The armpit area still fits quite small...Lire la suite

even after purchasing a large (old jacket is a medium), but the rest of the body is large. The pockets on the smooth side are not insulated and weirdly positioned. I have worn this jacket for about two weeks in light rain with temperatures ranging between -1 Celsius to 8 Celsius with a 200 smart wool base layer. It’s definitely waterproof, warm and lighter than my old one. The bottom of the jacket sits about 4 inches above my ankles. IMO, this jacket is better suited for city use.

Great versatile jacket

Love the versatility of two sides, perfect length, large hood.
Recommend, would love to see darker color though.

Great Coat

I love the length of this coat. I am 5'7" and it hits about 3 inches below my knees. It is long enough to be really warm but not too long that it gets dirty when walking in slush. rfect. This coat is very warm and substantial (i.e. it's not a lightweight down coat but it is light for the warmth). The straight cut is loose enough to wear over a blazer or sweater but it's not too bulky. The fabrics are high quality and the coat looks good and fits well with either side facing out. My only quibble with this coat is that while the pockets are large and nicely lined, they are low on the coat which makes it awkward to walk with your hands in the pockets or to reach the bottom of pocket.
