Great Heritage Boot, Best Leather

My second pair of Red Wing boots. Have the 875 in size 10D and bought these in same size and fit perfect. The muleskinner leather is really nice and will darken nicely as the boots are worn and get that patina. Be aware that there may be darker spots on the leather out of the box, but that is the nature of the leather, not a defect.

ug looks very sleek and can’t be seen from the side which is a plus for me.
You’ll need to size down half or a whole size from normal sneaker/brannock sizing.

Red Wing Iron Ranger

These boots are beautiful and extremely well made. I typically take a size 9 and needed to size down to an 8. The break in period was relatively easy given that the leather is soft.

Too big

I used to wear 10. 5 in running shoes, but 10. 5 in red wing is too big for me. Has to wear thick socks

Redwings long term comfort with some initial rigidity

these are my 3rd pair of redwings. Same model but different colour. you need to gove them a few weeks of use for them to break in and take their form to your foot. and until you get there, they will feel stiff. However, once you get them fitted they will feel like they were tailored for you.

Always the most beautiful men boots

Ordered one size down from my normal sneaker size. I usually wear size 10 in Nike or Adidas. But for RedWing round toe boots. 8.5D is enough, even for heavy socks.

American Made Classic

If you know boots you know about Red Wing. Shipped quickly and were in perfect shape. Make sure to order at least a half size down. I am typically a size 11.5 but ordered a 10.5.

Solid quality and build but the leather is more like suede

Like with all Red Wing shoes, the quality is outstanding. However, this Muleskinner leather feels more like suede and given it's light colour, I am concerned it will be very hard to maintain. It probably can make a good summer boot, but I am afraid if it is exposed to the rain it will be very hard to clean. As the case in point, the shoes arrived ...Lire la suite

with some dark spots on them although they were obviously new and unworn. Most likely those dark spots developed from paper and carboard rubbing against them in the box.
The shoes fit very large - I needed to size down a full size: my usual size with Asics or Merrells is 10.5, and for this shoe size 9.5 fits just right. Lire moins

Underwhelming given the cost

I considered purchasing a pair of Iron Rangers for awhile before finally pulling the trigger. Going in, I knew that they would require a fair amount of time to break in before they are comfortable. However, in hand, I was quite underwhelmed by the quality, and opted to do a return.
