Adjustable thickness footbed is awesome for feet that are different volumes
Toe box is narrow
Super comfortable boots
Some of the laces are put through a corded eyelet, not a metal one and have pulled out from the stitching

Hiking bots with the comfort of slippers!

These boots fit great and are super comfortable, almost like wearing slippers! The heel lock feature works well and the included insoles, while removable, provide better than average arch support.
Love the grippy soles and goretex membrane. Very impressed with this boot.

Mountain Trainer 2 Mid Gore-Tex® Boots - Men's.

I have not had these boots through a season, but I have worn them numerous times hiking and exploring. They provide good traction, excellent stability (no flipped ankles to which I am prone) and are comfortable. Haven't had a ton of

Haven't had a ton of use, but feels like 10\10 quality. Solid sole and support. As someone with foot pain, I am finding it is more and more worthwhile to invest in quality footwear, and Salewa will be a brand I will come back to. Comfortable but on the narrow side

I had an pair of Alpine Trainer for many years and loved them a lot. Decided to try another model. This one is as comfortable and seem better for backpacking. Ankle part is very cushy giving good support. The toe box is on the narrow side. Consider size up if want to wear thick socks.

Comfortable

I was really impressed by how comfortable these boots were, and the styling is great. Unfortunately, I just preferred the Alp Trainer 2 Mid boots for my application. Note that the laces on these boots are quite long, so you’ll have long loops hanging. If you need a boot for rugged terrain and carrying load, give these a try!
