Long-anticipated Perfect Jacket

Perfect. Wanted a lightweight breathable waterproof jacket and this definitely fits the bill. Great price quick delivery. The jacket is slightly oversized, I'm 170cm tall, 65kg, wearing XS.

Too Big

Unfortunately the unisex sizing wasn't very clear and it was too large. For reference xs is a M/L for women and a S/M for men. Otherwise its a really nice jacket, very light and comfortable.

Good with layering under or by itself

I have the all black one.
Good wind and rain breaker for fall by itself and with laying will be good for colder days.
Fits true to size (Medium is my usual size in North face and this is good as well, though it is a looser fit as the style indicates.)
I’m super hoping it will last as long as my really old one which it has replaced.

Dispappointed comparing it with TNF 1990 Mountain Jacket

I bought this jacket in an effort to replace my beloved 1990 Mountain Jacket GTX. I must say that I am quite disappointed and if you have owned a 1990 mountain jacket you should set your expectations lower. I was expecting the same type of "upscale quality" feel but it really does not feel as such in my opinion. The 1990 had a fleeced lining where...Lire la suite

as this one does not and has a mesh lining. It also fits slightly smaller than the 1990 did. Once paired with a Denali Retro under, it makes it puffy and throws of the looks. Without the Denali it fits true to size. Since I was expecting a like-for-like replacement, being exactly at the same pricepoint, for my 1990 jacket, I am disappointed and will likely return the jacket.
