I was a little concerned the side pockets may be too small for my water bottle, but my S’well 500ml fits, no problem. So far, I have only used it for work and it is comfortable to wear, though I have not put it through a long hike yet.

lunch bag. The drawstring top is perfect for those days when you need a little extra space or want to stash the embarrassing snowpants until they are absolutely needed.

The exterior pockets fit his insulated 20oz Kleen Kanteen perfectly, but you'd be hard pressed to fit anything larger. It should be noted this is a very simplistic backpack - with minimal interior and exterior pockets. That suits my son, but may not be for those who appreciate having a multitude of hidey-holes.

If there is one drawback to the No.21 in Large, it's the leather straps that adjust the shoulders. They are long and there is no where to stash the excess length for concealment. I'm hoping that one the leather softens up from use, they won't looks as out of place.

Finally, the included seat pad was a nice perk (great for my backcountry camping + alpine snowboarding lover) and the leather bottom that comes standard on the Large version of No.21 is a step up from the Small and Medium versions of the same bag.
