Good liner but buy TTS

I sized down one from other reviews for my Ashby (Ashby- Medium, liner- small), and turns out the liner was meant to be TTS and when zipped in bunched up. get TTS.

Zip in Liner

Got this zip in liner from Barbour for my son to use it with his Barbour Ashby jacket. The color, olive, match perfectly with the jacket color and the fit is perfect. I purchased a size L lining for a XL jacket based on reviews, and works! Very happy with the purchase and with the quality of items.

Good liner for Barbour but an oversized cut

It works and is a good addition to keep you warm. But it fits huge! I have a XXL Ashbury and got the polar quilt in xxl. The xxl vest was far too generous in the belly area. So it was not going to work. Sent it back for a XL or L.

Been looking for this for some time.

My wife got me a Barbour Bedale on my birthday and I've always wanted it to be an all year round jacket (or at least as much all year round as possible up here in Canada) and for that I needed a liner.

Amazing addition to a Barbour waxed jacket, if you have one, plus it can stand by itself if you're still thinking on buying one of the jackets.

Barbour pour toujours

Comme tous les produits Barbour, ce dernier ne fait pas exception à la règle. Fabriqué soigneusement, il peut servir de doubleur à l’Automne ou tout simplement de doudoune. Produit d’excellente qualité.

Once you figure out the equivalent size (these do not use the same size until as the vests they go into), it"s a perfect upgrade to my Beaufort.

Super comfy vest, not 100% sure about overall look

The vest does exactly what you'd expect for a liner plus vest combo. Style-wise it's not a gilet, and its length and chest opening matches the cut of jacket. This gives it a slightly long and loose look, so not the svelte form-fitting look and feel you might want fashion-wise.

ket gives enough additional warmth to be comfortable walking in -5 with moderate wind (even a bit warm if you have a scarf). I have not tried it colder yet but I suspect with hat and scarf you could comfortably take it to -15 with the outer layer coat.

Overall I'd say it does what I expected: it is a great purpose built layer for the jacket, that is a fine look for a hike or camping trip. I just wouldn't get it without the full jacket or expect to replace a gilet with it from an urban or style perspective. Lire moins
